Apparently Gossip Girl was full of fashion and amazing outfits. I wouldn't know; I never watched it. I lost the passion for watching highschool dramas right around the time I left high highschool (was Dawson's Creek the last one I engaged in? Oh Pacey, it's been so long...). Nevertheless I did manage to see this young lass pop up on various style blogs because of her clothing choices. I give you her latest offering:
As a print I think the design on this Marchesa Voyage outfit of Leighton Meester's is so pretty but the cut and the fact that it is quite jumpsuity in appearance puts me off. Plus there are pointy shoes. I've always hated pointy shoes. They remind me of witches feet.
From a modesty point of view it is pretty much perfect; whack on a grey/black hijab and you've got some pretty good walk out the door hijabi readiness action happening, but I still wouldn't.

I think worn as separate pieces it would work better - together, along with the stripes, it just gives off a fancy resort wear pyjama effect. Even with a solid thrown in somewhere (a tank top, blazer, etc) it would look fab, just like these older Dolce & Gabbana pieces below. Pjs never looked so good.
As it is, maybe with a better fit, a chic high bun and a darker lip colour it could be transformed but the way it is now I'm more on the nay side of things. How about you? Are you yaying or naying this ensemble? How do you feel about pyjama-esque outfits in general?
