I have huge arse feet. In American/Australian sizes I'm a size 11, a European 42 and a UK 9. Being tall, I guess it kinda comes with the territory so I can't complain too much but I tend to have a whinge every now and then when shopping for shoes because the options left for my size are usually revolting and butch or non-existent. If I go on ASOS and search for shoes so many beautiful things come up, but as soon as I search by size the results dwindle to a less than impressive selection of man style converse type shoes and footwear only die-hard tomboys or mine workers would regard.
I chanced upon Steve Madden, which many of you may have heard of, although I hadn't even though the company is apparently a pretty popular international shoe chain. They had my size in a lot of their awesomely feminine designs so I snatched up four pairs while their current Australian 40% off Boxing Day sale is on. I ended up saving a fair bit, even though in reality the prices for Steve Madden shoes anywhere else in the world (particularly the US) are a shitload cheaper. That's one crap thing about living here in Australia; we pay ridiculously more for basically everything just because of our location.
Anyways, here are the styles I choose. If you wanted to purchase them yourself I have linked the cheapest prices online I could find for the same models for both US and Aussie customers (although colour/print may vary) because there are a lot of short term Xmas sales going on now.
First cab off the rank - I picked up these gorgeous mint coloured wedges. Wedges are awesome. They're basically high heels you can actually walk in. Heels last about two minutes on my feet whereas wedges are an all day long affair. I love the fresh green summer colour and the knotted design at the bottom of the shoe.

The second pair of wedges I grabbed were these babies. Floral print. I could not resist. I have floral sunnies, floral drinking glasses, floral serving trays, floral napkins, etc. I'm crazy about the girlier side of life. Once again huge price difference.

Had to buy some heels and I got this sleek bronzed design for the chunkier heel at the back. I'm too heavy and awkward for thin heels so the chunky version was definitely more foot friendly.

And last but not least - some cute coral thongs that are beyond simple beading. 99% of the time I wear flat shoes and I couldn't go past the hippy, bohemian aspect of this pair. I was tossing up between this and the green version but a lot of people on Facebook favoured the coral when I asked you guys, so coral it is.

Normally I would wait until actually receiving the items to share any new stuff on the blog, but with the current sales going on I couldn't wait to share and spread the word as you might want to pick up a quick bargain yourself before the sales finish. The listed US prices will also go down a fair bit once their sale discount codes are applied at checkout.
Can't wait to get them! Let me know if you grabbed any shoe bargains over the Xmas break.
