Poolside Pink

Can I have a do over on my holiday? I want to rewind a week and jump into that pool! The layout was amazing and there was hardly anyone around when we were there taking photos for this gorgeous pink abaya that Nadia from NA Exclusive Abayas sent me prior to travelling. Make sure you check out yesterday's post that is chockablock full of pics from my recent tropical island adventure to Malaysia's Langkawi Island.

The abaya is cut in a waterfall design as are most of the pieces Nadia has sent me so if you want to know what the back looks like you can check out past reviews for the company I have done. The pink slit is one solid colour - I know it looks a little tie-dye here but that extra hue of pink down the bottom is thanks to the water I soaked up as I moved around the outskirts of the pool in the rain nervously hurrying my roped in photographer along because standing in public and having to somehow stand awkwardly alone and pose while someone takes my picture always makes me feel like such a douchebag. I don't know how other bloggers manage to do it on a regular basis with strangers watching. I don't lack confidence but I am shy when it comes to these sort of things.

I can't believe how lucky I was to find pool chairs covered in cushions in pretty much the exact same shade of fuchsia as the abaya. Meant to be I guess...

Once again there is an inner belt hidden away to pull in the abaya as loose or as tight as you want around the waist area. I think you have to cinch it in somewhat because the heavy drape of the arms and back would be aesthetically a little too much if it wasn't. I'm a fan of curves so this kind of cut suits me and I love how the tail of the abaya smooths out into such a flattering silhouette.

The design of the side slit is quite visually lengthening - not that you can see it, but I am wearing flats in these photos and it still makes me look super tall so if I added in heels into the mix it would look like I'd have legs for days, so if you are looking for an abaya to make you appear taller (whether you are on the shorter side or not) then this baby may be the one for you. You can also get it made in any colour you want if pink isn't your thing.

The hand sewn floral detailing is sweet and keeps that illusion of length going.
